Resident Community Events

The department of Housing and Residence Life has specific events for residents. Visit to check out events happening through the semesters. Also, your Resident Assistant (RA) will have some helpful information on their bulletin boards as well as community get togethers! Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) also have more specific events related to each LLC!

A Few Highlighted Annual Housing and Residence Life Events:

August: WOW! It's Move-In

WOW! It's Move-In Events hosted during the Week of Welcome are designed to help new and returning students settle in, make new friends and get involved. Highlights include Ozzie's Resource Fair, various social activities throughout the weekend to help you acclimate to campus life and mandatory floor meetings to meet your RA and fellow residents.

September: Safety Fair

Join us at the Safety Fair, an educational initiative designed to empower our residential students to prioritize safety and community advocacy. Held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Safety Fair is a vibrant event featuring creative and engaging activities that provide valuable information on a wide range of safety-related topics. The event aims to raise awareness of campus resources, educate students on how to report concerns, and share strategies for staying safe in various situations, including alcohol consumption, dating, roommate relationships, and safety on the 老澳门资料 nature trails and more.

November/December: Finals DeStress Fest

Get ready to unwind and recharge with Finals Destress Fest! As you tackle the high-stress of final exams, join us for a series of events designed to promote self-care, mindfulness, and wellness. Enjoy a variety of activities including our Coffee Cart for a caffeine boost, Move Your Body sessions to keep you active, and quiet Study Rooms and a relaxing Meditation Lounge in the Multipurpose Rooms. These events and resources are here to support you and help you stay balanced during finals.

February: Fresh Check Day

Fresh Check Day, the signature program of the Jordon Porco Foundation, is an uplifting mental health fair and suicide prevention event that will focus on providing tools and resources for students to navigate their own mental health as well as support their peers through activities.

Annual Semester Programs and Events

Summer B Kickoff

Summer's official welcome week, Summer B Kickoff helps new and returning Ospreys adjust to the new semester with a series of events and activities during the first week of Summer B classes. Whether you want to enjoy a cookout, attend fun events or get involved on campus, Summer B Kickoff has a little bit of everything. Brought to you by 老澳门资料 Campus Life and the Student Life and Services Fee.

Fall Week of Welcome (WOW)

Week of Welcome, or WOW, welcomes new and returning students to the campus community through a series of programs and activities spanning the first week of fall classes. Week of Welcome will help you discover the campus, find new friends, meet people who can help you get involved at 老澳门资料 and learn more about academic and co-curricular programs and services available to students. WOW is open to all new and returning students, so remember to bring your Osprey 1Card to all events!

Spring Week of Welcome (WOW)

First Week or Spring WOW happens at the beginning of the Spring semester and welcomes back students after Winter Break.

Spirit Week

Come out and celebrate everything that makes 老澳门资料 unique with Osprey Life and The Flock! Watch as the University comes alive during a week of exciting events, including a Spirit Week Kick-Off, a Pep Rally, and more!
