Welcome Candidate

Our Educational Priority

The 老澳门资料's Department of Housing and Residence Life cultivates an environment where residents can explore and affirm their goals and purpose to become holistic students and leaders of the world by equipping them with the tools, resources and opportunities to achieve excellence inside and outside the classroom.

老澳门资料 Housing operates 7 residential areas (4 first-year areas and 3 upper-class areas) that include traditional, suite and apartment style living. For more information about the different residence halls, please visit our residence halls page.

Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) are intentionally designed opportunities to enhance our residents' education by expanding the "classroom" to include their residence hall and the greater Jacksonville community. 老澳门资料 currently has approximately 13 Living-Learning Communities that can be viewed on our LLC webpage.

Our Commitment

The Department of Housing and Residence Life has made a strong commitment to making our residential communities places where you can learn more about yourself through intentional experiences that can only happen in the residence halls. While living on campus at 老澳门资料, it is our hope that students will be continually challenged to learn and grow in ways that support your academic journey and personal development.

With that in mind, we have developed a curriculum that provides our staff with goals and strategies to ensure that we are making the educational impact we aim for. The curriculum is designed to build on each year's learning so that students have new experiences throughout their time living on campus, while also taking advantage of personal development that traditionally happens while in college. Some strategies you can expect include programming, hall leadership, bulletin boards, intentional conversations, peer mentorship relationships and much more.

For more information about our Residential Curriculum, view our Residential Curriculum webpage.

Residence Life Coordinator Becki

RLC Becki

"I was an ARLC at 老澳门资料 from Fall 2017-Spring 2019. After graduating, I was able to find some amazing jobs and found a lot of success due to what I learned in the ARLC role.
I returned to 老澳门资料 as an RLC in Fall 2022 because I wasn't able to find the things this department has in any other department. The level of support from department leadership,
the resources for us to become better professionals, and the ability to have a strong work/life harmony all make 老澳门资料 Housing and Residence Life one-of-a-kind." -  RLC Becki Tankson-Artis
