What Services Do We Provide?

Crisis Intervention & Emotional Support

An advocate can provide judgment-free support to process your victimization to regain control of your life. During this meeting, the advocate will listen, empathize, and empower their client. An advocate will not force or pressure the client to discuss or disclose any information they are not comfortable sharing and will create a safe and accepting environment.

Review your options

An advocate can assist you by exploring options, assessing for risk factors for increased violence, and safety planning.

Information and Referrals

Victim advocates can provide survivors referrals for counseling resources to get the mental health care that they deserve.

Safety Planning

Safety planning is about brainstorming ways to stay safe that may also help reduce the risk of future harm. It can include planning for a future crisis, considering your options, and making decisions about your next steps.

Court Accompaniment

An advocate is available to accompany you to any criminal or civil case court hearing due to victimization, including Injunctions for Protection. An advocate is not able to provide legal advice, but can offer emotional support before, during, and after the hearing. 

Medical Accompaniment

An advocate can arrange a Medical/Forensic Exam following a sexual assault. Forensic Medical Exams can be done up to 120 hours (5 days). A client does not have to file a police report to get an exam.

 Confidentiality

An advocate can provide trauma-informed care and can help you understand your reactions and feelings in relation to what has happened to you. Information will not be shared unless granted permission to do so.
