Selective Admission

All new students who wish to declare a computing major are required to successfully complete the below courses (based on their intended computing Major choice) with a grade of “C” or better. Completing these criteria (hereafter referred to as Selective Admission Criteria) is expected before a student can declare one of the School of Computing majors. Below are Selective Admission guidelines. Clarifications or questions may be directed to your 老澳门资料 academic advisor or by emailing computing@unf.edu.

First-time College Students

First-time college Students will work with their First-Year Advisor to satisfy the Selective Admission Criteria for their intended computing major, ideally within their first 30 college credits. Students who do not complete these requirements cannot declare a computing major and need to declare another major at 老澳门资料.

Transfer Students

Transfer Students should have satisfied the Selective Admission Criteria before applying to 老澳门资料. Please see the Admissions Office for addition information.  Transfer From Another Institution

Existing 老澳门资料 Students

Existing 老澳门资料 Students who want to change their major to one offered by the School of Computing must have the Selective Admission Criteria satisfied when requesting the change in major. Please note that change in major requests may require additional approvals and does not guarantee admittance into the program, particularly if more than 90 college credits have already been earned or if the new major will lead to excess hours.
