Self-Study Cycle
When undergoing the OBPR Self-Study Cycle, academic programs will develop a self-study addressing questions referencing human, financial, and physical resources, faculty needs and qualifications, student experience and support, and general program qualities. 老澳门资料’s assessment management platform, Nuventive, is used to develop and build self-study documents, which are accessible through MyWings to all department chairs, program directors, and other faculty members as requested by each academic department. OIE manages access to Nuventive and will accommodate access requests for faculty and/or staff members for each program or department undergoing the OBPR process.
To complete the OBPR self-study, academic programs should develop written or drop-down responses to each question through consultation with program faculty, relevant constituents, and collegiate leadership as relevant and appropriate to the academic program. While there is not a strict page limit for the self-study, programs should aim to produce clear, concise responses to each question totaling no more than two or three paragraphs in length for each question. The bulk of the program’s effort should be put toward creating opportunities for all faculty, students, and staff to engage in conversations about the program’s scholarly and strategic direction and what opportunities and challenges are facing the program. Programs should only include information relevant for the reviewer/review team to conduct a quality review.
After the self-study is complete, academic programs will develop an Action Plan based on continuous improvement and considerations made through the external review process. The Action Plan serves as a five-year planning document for the program.
Approximately 2.5 years after the most recent Action Plan was submitted (i.e., at the mid-point of the 5-year OBPR cycle) academic programs will submit a Mid-Cycle Action Plan Progress Report. This will serve as a brief progress report on the most recently submitted action plan.
