  Following a consultation to review the laboratory's hardware needs and functional setup, RTS staff is working with Dr. Nissim to build out the laboratory space's infrastructure with the help of the Networking and Audio-Visual teams. RTS staff is also collaborating with Dr. Nissim to evaluate the hardware needs of the laboratory and provide the necessary purchasing quotes to prepare the laboratory for use.

  Ula McCarthy, Psychology Graduate Research Assistant

  Research Technology Services Staff met with ALIEN Lab researchers Dr. Lori Lange and Ula McCarthy to assist with the configuration and general use of the Vive Pro Eye equipment. The related meetings included the installation of the necessary software, testing the Vive Pro Eye headset, identifying the missing components for the wireless adapter, and evaluating strategies for accessing fully immersive videos for use in their study.

  School of Nursing Academic Collaboration - Meta Quest Setup

  In collaboration with Elsevier, the School of Nursing procured four Meta Quest 2 devices for use with the software to pilot the use of a Simulation Learning System with Virtual Reality allowing Nursing students the ability to be fully immersed in a virtual reality skills lab environment. The RTS staff assisted with the configuration, setup, testing, and related documentation.

  Provided direction and assistance with migrating StoryMap data from a shared public account used for student collaboration to a ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ×ÊÁÏ account.
