You can also visit Le Havre Beach with their “the tip of the world” (“Le bout du monde”) walk under the cliffs and enjoy paddle-boarding, windsurfing, and many other water sports.
Caen, France
Located 15 minutes from the ferry that crosses the English Channel and two hours from Paris by train, Caen is known for being a lively destination. It was once the home of William the Conquerer, and boasts the grand Women's Abbey and Men's Abbey both built between 1060 and 1080. Those interested in World War II history will want to spend a full day at the , exploring the D-Day landings from both the Allied and German perspectives.
