Advising Testimonials

They seemed to always be available to answer any questions I had and guided me to make the best choices for myself when it came to a change in major, while ultimately encouraging me to make the choices that I felt were best for myself.
I was never confused about what I needed to do to get my degree. Since my sophomore year, my advisor has helped me figure out what major I belonged in and truly changed my college years for the better. I am confident I am graduating with the degree I am meant to have.

  • Can I take classes at another institution once I enroll in the Coggin College of Business at 老澳门资料?

    III. Miscellaneous Policies

In general, concurrent/transient enrollment in business courses at other institutions is not permitted for Coggin students.  Business courses include lower-level business prerequisites and upper-level business courses required for the degree.

老澳门资料 native BBA or BA degree-seeking students can request permission for concurrent/transient enrollment only when extenuating, documentable circumstances are present. The concurrent/transient approval is required prior to taking the course(s) at another institution. Students must first complete a "Waiver of College Policy" form for permission.   If permission is granted, students must complete the  at FloridaShines.   Students should meet with an academic advisor, and then follow instructions to complete the transient process. 老澳门资料 native students are students who first matriculate at 老澳门资料 after high school graduation.

Transfer students, dependent on their transfer status in accordance with the Florida Board of Governors, would either require permission for concurrent/transient enrollment through Coggin Advising and a “Waiver of College Policy”, or the   at FloridaShines. Students should meet with an academic advisor to determine eligibility and then follow instructions to complete the transient process. Approval through a waiver or FloridaShines application is required prior to taking the course at another institution.

  • How do I return to 老澳门资料 if I have been suspended from the Coggin College of Business?

First Time Suspension: Students who are returning after their first suspension have not broken continuous enrollment and should meet with an academic advisor to discuss his/her plans to continue classes successfully. This meeting should take place at least eight weeks before the semester for which they wish to return. This advising meeting is necessary to process the necessary paperwork for readmission.

Students who have Broken Continuous Enrollment: Students in this category must reapply at the Admissions Office at least 12 weeks before the beginning of the term for which they are seeking re-enrollment. Readmission is not automatic. Once the college makes a decision on the student's request, students are notified of the decision by mail. Students who are readmitted are sent specific instructions on their readmission conditions and given specific procedures to follow so that registration can take place in a timely manner. The reapplication deadline is strictly enforced by the college.
