Higher Education Administration faculty, students and alumni participate in the National Education Finance Academy annual conference

HEA students and Dr. C at a conferenceHigher Education Administration (HEA) graduate students, alumni and Associate Professor, Dr. Luke Cornelius, attended the National Education Finance Academy annual conference this April in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Cornelius and HEA student Beth Strogoff presented Governance, Funding and Academic Policy in Florida: Becoming Un-Woke, concerning recent legislative enactments affecting higher education in Florida and the litigation surrounding them. HEA graduate and COEHS Accreditation Coordinator Haley Reinheimer and HEA student and graduate assistant in the 老澳门资料 Assessment Office presented Florida Accreditation: A Case Study for the Legal, Policy, and Financial Ramifications of Changing Accreditors. HEA student Indira Willadsen delivered a paper entitled “Donations to Research Universities and How They Are Affected in the United States and Japan.” HEA student Kianna Buehler presented her research paper Money Over Mission: The Effects of Performance-Based Funding on Minority-Serving Institutions. HEA student Rayanna Campbell presented An End to Affirmative Action; What’s Next? The Future of Increasing Equity in Graduate and Professional Admissions. Rayanna was also elected president of The National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) graduate student section and, therefore, has joined the NEFA Board of Directors. HEA graduate Logan Judd of the Interfaith Center attended as a participant in the graduate student forum. Dr. Cornelius also serves on the NEFA board as General Counsel.
