Giving Priorities
The 老澳门资料 College of Education and Human Services strives to inspire our students to be difference makers. Whether they end up working in classrooms, athletic fields, or anywhere in between, our students have been afforded opportunities to learn in hands-on, collaborative environments prior to graduation. Partnerships are key to all of our programs, as they provide real-world learning experiences. The sport management program provides our students professional experience in a wide range of sport fields and as a result we have strong partnerships with prominent sport organizations such as the PGA, Jacksonville Armada, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Jacksonville Jaguars and more.

Urban Initiative Scholarship Fund
Improving the net cost to our students positively impacts retention rates. Essential to our success is securing a minimum of $1.25 million to support the Urban Initiative Scholarship Fund. This fund directly supports the development of undergraduate students from underrepresented racial/ethnic backgrounds interested in becoming teachers in urban schools. Research suggests that students have more success with teachers who match their own race/ethnicity. Our College's efforts to create this pipeline of diverse educators is essential to the success of preK-12 students in the increasingly diverse Northeast Florida region.
STEM Education
Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education initiatives are a top priority for our College. With a quickly changing technology environment and a need to prepare K-12 students for careers that don't even exist yet, we are working to secure a minimum of $100,000 annually to provide operational support for the Northeast Florida Center for STEM Education (NEFSTEM), to fund free professional development opportunities for teachers, and to purchase new STEM learning tools for our STEP Lab and Preschool.
Study Abroad/TLOs
Affording our students the opportunity to study abroad provides them with unique opportunities to learn how to adapt to an academic setting different from their own. In turn, this allows them to stand out from the crowd when they go on to pursue challenging and exciting careers. Help us educate and inspire the next generation of leaders in teaching, human services, and sport management with your gift to support our study abroad and transformational learning opportunity programs.
Sport Data Analytics Lab
The Lab is a resource for producing and disseminating scholarship as well as educating a wide group of students, colleagues, and community members regarding the trends identified within sport analytics and the social impact these trends have on a variety of populations. An investment in the education of students is a direct gift to future analysts that leads to a career-long impact. The gift of improved understanding within the sport management industry will ultimately impact the lives of our students across their career, setting them up for continued success.
AACTE Holmes Scholar Program
The AACTE Holmes Program supports doctoral students from historically underrepresented groups in careers such as teaching, school administration or the education professoriate, and establishes an environment of mentorship and support by preparing the students to engage and interact in the larger professional community. Students receive access to a wealth of local resources as well as opportunities to engage in national-level policy and advocacy efforts.
When you give to the College, you demonstrate your belief and represent your commitment to the future of education in Northeast Florida. You set an example for all current and future Ospreys and make a difference every day.
