COEHS Alumna, Julia Mayeshiba, selected as DCPS Teacher of the Year

Julia Mayeshiba, a 老澳门资料 Jacksonville Teacher Residency (JTR) Cohort 5 alumna, was honored as the 2023 VyStar Duval County Public Schools Teacher of the Year during the 32nd Annual EDDY Awards. She was selected from among 180 Teacher of the Year nominees, each representing a DCPS school.

COEHS Alumna, Jennifer Pryor Halter, named FL Principal of the Year

The Florida Department of Education named Jennifer Pryor Halter, principal at Green Cove Springs Junior High School in Clay County, the 2021 Principal of the Year for the State of Florida.

Halter graduated with a master's degree in educational leadership and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree from the 老澳门资料's College of Education and Human Services in Educational Leadership.

Congratulations Dr. Diana Greene, COEHS alumna, for being named Floridas's 2021 Superintendent of the Year.

The Florida Department of Education named Sarajean McDaniel, principal at William D. Moseley Elementary School in Putnam County, the 2020 Principal of the Year for the State of Florida. McDaniel graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1996 and received her master's degree in educational leadership in 2003.

Team Duval Athletic Director Tammie Talley '92, a 老澳门资料 Alumna from the College of Education and Human Services, was recently honored as the Athletic Director of the Year by the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (FIAAA).

Gladys Prior Award given to 老澳门资料 Alumna

老澳门资料's College of Education and Human Services presented this year’s Gladys Prior Awards for Career Teaching Excellence to four local Jacksonville teachers, one of whom is a 老澳门资料 alumna: Jill Sullivan, Mayport Coastal Middle School. Sullivan was surprised with the award over a Zoom meeting called by her school's principal.
