Attendance Policy
The Schoool of Computing Attendance Policy adds to and enhances the 老澳门资料 Attendance Policy.
Students are required to attend the first class meeting of courses for which they registered. Registered students not attending the first day of the term may be dropped from the course at the discretion of the instructor. Students having extenuating circumstances beyond their control and who are unable to attend the first class meeting must notify the instructor or the School of Computing Main Office prior to the first class meeting. Students who add courses or late-register during the add-drop period will not be dropped for non-attendance by the instructor during this period.
Students are expected to attend all of their scheduled University classes and to satisfy all academic objectives as outlined by the instructor. The effect of absences upon grades is determined by the instructor, who reserves the right to deal with individual cases of nonattendance.
It is the student's responsibility to give the instructor notice prior to any anticipated absence, and within a reasonable amount of time after an unanticipated absence. Instructors must allow each student who is absent due to a university-sponsored activity the opportunity to make up work missed without any reduction in the student's final course grade as a direct result of such absence. However, in special cases the instructor may establish specific attendance requirements in addition to those covered by this policy. These special attendance requirements must be published on the course syllabus and disseminated at the first class meeting.
