College Scheduling Expectations
Colleges will assign one primary College Scheduler to coordinate the College's academic schedule and be accountable for its accuracy and compliance with scheduling policies and practices. The primary College Scheduler will serve as the main point of contact for all departments within their specific College. The primary College Scheduler will be the main point of contact for the University Scheduling Team in the Office of Records and Registration.
The primary College Scheduler is responsible for schedule security and will be trained in related scheduling systems by the University Scheduling Team within the Office of Records and Registration. If a College determines additional functional schedulers are needed, it is the responsibility of the primary College Scheduler to ensure those schedulers are appropriately trained. In this case, the primary College Scheduler still remains as the main scheduling point of contact for their College and the University Scheduling Team.
The University Scheduling Teams and six primary College Schedulers constitute a core scheduling group that promotes uniformity in the academic scheduling process. A core scheduling group is necessary for concise communication to all University partners and for accurate and consistent student-first scheduling.
Please review the following checklist, which details the various responsibilities that primary College Schedulers oversee. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Records and Registration.
