CIRT Video Studio
The CIRT Video Studio features professional-grade lighting, dedicated studio cameras, a Lightboard, professional audio, and much more. The Creative Team has designed the video studio to be flexible and quickly configurable for faculty needs. For most of the types of recordings that are possible in the studio, we have added the capability to do “live” recordings so that once the recording is finished, we can do simple video edits (like trimming the beginning and end) on the spot and then quickly transfer the video to your flash drive, Canvas Studio, or OneDrive. We provide hands-on support so that all you need to worry about is your presentation.
More complex productions will take more time, so we’ll work with you on the “post-production” aspects of a video project. We’ll be adding much more functionality as we continue to build out the studio. Whether you need to create course announcements, videos for your Canvas modules, demonstrations, or interviews, our studio should meet your needs.

High-Quality Lecture Capture
Faculty may reserve the studio for high-quality lecture capture. You come in for your presentation, record it, and we will have the video ready for you within minutes after you finish your lecture.

Green Screen
The green screen allows for virtual backgrounds using still photographs or motion video. You can even embed yourself into your slide presentations using PowerPoint or Keynote.

Sound Booth
The 6x8’ sound booth provides a quiet, private space to record audio files for use in podcasts, screencasts, or voiceover for videos. Recording of musical instruments can also be done here.

The Learning Glass™ (lightboard)
Gone are the days of writing with your back to the whiteboard! The lightboard allows faculty to be recorded on video while writing on a glass screen - think of it as a see-through whiteboard!
Studio Examples
We aimed to create a studio with greater flexibility, higher quality, and quick turnaround. Below are some of the studio’s components and a sample video of snippets of studio projects.
In addition to the CIRT Video Studio, CIRT is now available for recording videos outside our Studio and beyond our regular hours of operation. Depending on your event’s length, size, and complexity, services will vary, and more notice may be required to meet your needs. Examples of possible projects include recording student presentations, special performances, guest speakers, lab demonstrations or procedures, videos for research, and others. Please remember to include CIRT early in your planning to ensure the highest quality service.
CIRT cannot record every class session of a course, but we will help you identify resources for those projects.
Video Production Process
Step 1: Planning
Planning is an essential step in the video creation process. Careful planning can ensure the best quality video is made in the most efficient amount of time. CIRT is happy to support many video projects for 老澳门资料 faculty, from being involved in every project stage to only providing help when needed.

Step 2: Production
Production is the center of the video production process and includes filming or gathering photos, music, and other media that you will add to your final video. CIRT can assist with filming in the CIRT Video Studio, recording in our sound booth, filming onsite recordings, or checking out our equipment and training you on how to use it.

Step 3: Post Production
Video editing is storytelling. Many programs and tools are out there to help you assemble your story effectively and entertainingly. CIRT can help by working with faculty to edit videos they have captured, adding titles, music, or other media to a video, and rendering the final product so it is ready for publishing.

Step 4: Publishing
The publishing step of the video creation process is where you publish or distribute your video. Publishing destinations might include Canvas Studio, YouTube, One-Drive, etc. CIRT can assist with recommending a publishing platform and helping you learn how to use that platform.
