15 semester hours are required. All International Business students are also required to complete the Star Certification program with the Coggin Career Management Center prior to starting the search for their mandatory internship.

These classes, when taught in a language other than English, allow students to hone their skills in a particular language and deepen cultural understanding in a linguistic context. International Educational Experience

All International Business Majors are required to participate in an approved international educational experience. Examples of approved experiences include the following:

    • Successful completion of an internship abroad
    • Successful participation in a semester-long or summer exchange program (minimum of 4 weeks)

EXPERIENCE International
Students who participate in a Summer or Semester Exchange Program through the Coggin College of Business will register for GEB 4940 (0 Credit). Successful completion of this course will fulfil this experience.

Practicum

All International Business majors are required to complete a practicum experience to prepare for their careers. Beginning in Fall 2023, this experience can be fulfilled in one of several ways, such as participation in an approved international internship, approved work or volunteer experience, approved consulting experience, or an approved career training program. Students not pursuing an internship for credit will register for the below 0-credit pass/fail course to complete this requirement. Approval is given by the director of IB. May be completed abroad.
