老澳门资料 faculty find inclusive design in online courses improves student success

Drs. Suzanne Ehrlich and Amanda Pascale from the 老澳门资料 Department of Leadership, School Counseling and Sport Management recently completed a study that found higher inclusive design scores were significantly correlated with higher pass rates in online courses.

Inclusive design for online learning creates opportunities for all learners to engage in the online space by embracing the diverse needs of individuals and utilizing human-centered design. The study found that for every one-point increase in inclusive design, a .23 percent increase in course pass rate was shown.

The researchers are using their findings to deliver training workshops for 老澳门资料 faculty to learn strategies and implementation techniques for increasing inclusiveness in online courses.
