Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Scholarship
The 老澳门资料 College of Computing, Engineering and Construction is proud to offer this scholarship sponsored by the Design-Build Institute of America Florida Region (DBIA) and the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE).
Criteria
Successful applicants must:
- meet admission requirements and be accepted to the 老澳门资料,
- enrolled as a first-year freshman with an earned minimum 老澳门资料 recalculated high school GPA of at least 3.0, and declared interest in majoring in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior with a 老澳门资料 GPA of at least 3.0, with a declared major of Construction Management or Civil Engineering,
- be an active member of a student construction management or civil engineering club, society or competition, such as Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), or if a freshman, become an active member before the end of the year of admission.
Responsibilities
Scholarship recipients must:
- enroll full-time (12+ credit hours) in the semester the scholarship is awarded and earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of each academic year,
- maintain a GPA of at least 3.0,
- remain in good standing as a student,
- comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus
- consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the Donor
Renewal
Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference pending availability of funding and if the applicant continues to meet all selection criteria and responsibilities. No student will be eligible to receive more than four (4) semesters of scholarship support.
The amount of the award will be determined by the fund manager, but it cannot exceed the maximum cost of tuition, books, campus housing, meal plan, transportation and miscellaneous expenses, as reflected in the annual "Cost of Education" budget prepared by the 老澳门资料 Financial Aid Office.
