American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Scholarship
The 老澳门资料's School of Engineering and Department of Construction Management are proud to offer this scholarship sponsored by the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE).
The mission of the American Society of Highway Engineers is to provide a forum for members and partners of the highway industry to promote a safe, efficient, and sustainable highway system through education, innovation, and fellowship. This scholarship was established to support students pursuing a career in the highway industry.
Criteria
Successful applicants must:
- meet admission requirements and be accepted to the 老澳门资料
- declare an interest in majoring in Civil Engineering or Building Construction Management
- have earned a minimum 老澳门资料-recalculated high school GPA of 3.0
- enrolled as junior or senior at time of award
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- are active members of the 老澳门资料 ASHE student chapter
Responsibilities
Scholarship recipients must:
- enroll full-time (12+ credit hours) in the semester the scholarship is awarded and earn a minimum of 24 credit hours by the end of the Spring term; or enroll part-time (6 - 11 credit hours) if a second-semester senior requiring fewer than 12 credit hours to graduate.
- maintain a GPA of at least 3.0
- remain in good standing as a student
- comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus
- consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the Donor
Renewal
Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference pending availability of funding and if the applicant continues to meet all selection criteria and responsibilities. No student will be eligible to receive more than eight (8) semesters of scholarship support.
The amount of the award will be determined by the fund manager, but it cannot exceed the maximum cost of tuition, books, campus housing, meal plan, transportation and miscellaneous expenses, as reflected in the annual "Cost of Education" budget prepared by the 老澳门资料 Financial Aid Office.
