The Willed Body Program

The Anatomical Board of the State of Florida

An understanding of human movement serves as the foundation for the practice of Athletic Training, Exercise Science, and Physical Therapy. As a part of these academic programs, students have the opportunity to work with human anatomical specimens. The primary purpose of The Willed Body Program is to provide for the teaching of human anatomy and neuroanatomy to Athletic Training students, Exercise Science students, Physical Therapy students, residents, and other health care and medical professionals.

The Willed Body Program allows Florida residents 18 years of age and older to enhance a student's education in their respective fields. Regulated by the Anatomical Board of the State of Florida, the Program helps individuals donate their bodies for the training of Athletic Trainers, Exercise Scientists, Physical Therapists, and other health care and medical professionals.

A person who wishes to will his or her body for medical education at one of the State's medical schools must contact the Anatomical Board of the State of Florida office in Gainesville (800-628-2594). This Office in Gainesville has preparation and storage facilities to handle the donations. An individual who decides to donate their body for the purposes of education may designate where (which school) the body will be used, barring unusual circumstances.

If you choose to donate your body, you may indicate your preference for the 老澳门资料, Brooks College of Health.
