Students will meet with Brooks College of Health Program Directors and student speakers during undergraduate program information sessions.
Welcome to the Pre-Health Track
The听Pre-Health track听introduces freshman and sophomore students to a variety of academic majors and career opportunities in the healthcare field. The track is intended not only for students interested in junior-entry limited access programs but also for students unsure of which healthcare careers to pursue. The track is not a bachelor鈥檚 degree academic major that students complete; rather it is a pathway encompassing supplemental health care major and career-focused programming leading to completion of a health degree.
To experience the benefits of the Pre-Health track, participation in available programming is essential. Some programming and resources available to Pre-Health students across the fall and spring terms include:
Information Sessions
Admission Workshops
Admission workshops for BS in Nursing and BSH-Kinesiology programs will offer the opportunity to prepare for the junior-entry Specialized Admissions.
Bio-Medical Workshops
Bio-Medical profession workshops, in collaboration with the Biology department, will help students prepare for competitive graduate program admissions, such as medical school, physician’s assistant program, etc.
Facility Visits
Local healthcare facility visits will allow students to speak with healthcare professionals and to learn about volunteer opportunities.
Student Panel Discussions
Student panels will provide opportunities for questions and conversations with BCH senior students regarding academic major/career selection process from the student perspective.
Career Selection and Personality Workshop
BCH Career Services will facilitate workshops on personality and career selection.
Pre-Health Career Week
Pre-health Career Week will offer a dedicated individual appointment opportunity with the BCH Career Coordinator to discuss major choice, future career goals, health related careers, and potential opportunities to gain experience.
Jobs Outlook
All majors offered at the Brooks College of Health are listed on the BCH Career Services website. By clicking on a major, you will be able to obtain a brief introduction to the major and a sampling of careers, salary information, professional associations, and websites associated with that major.
