Instructional Satisfaction Questionnaire
The 老澳门资料 evaluates course instruction using the online "Instructional Satisfaction Questionnaire" (ISQ). The ISQ allows students to confidentially evaluate their 老澳门资料 learning experience. Students will receive several automated reminders to complete ISQs during the two-week evaluation period.
Exempt Courses
According to the 老澳门资料BOT-UFF Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article 18.2 (f), the following courses are exempt from ISQ evaluation:
- Any CRN with enrollment of 7 or less
- Independent Study
- Internship
- Practicum
Instructors may request ISQs for exempt course sections by contacting Academic & Student Affairs.
Response Rates
Instructors are encouraged to proactively communicate with students about the ISQ process. The following suggestions can help to increase response rates.
- Communicate ISQ dates to students each semester. Provide this information in class or on Canvas, and build ISQ open and close dates into the course schedule.
- Let students know that their responses are anonymous, cannot be traced back to them, and will not be seen by instructors until after final grades are submitted.
- Tell students that you read their responses and use their feedback to improve student learning outcomes. Invite constructive criticism.
- Monitor response rates in Faculty Self Service -> ISQ Response Rates. If response rates are low, follow up with students in the second week of the evaluation period.
Results
ISQ results will be available by the day after final grades are submitted. Faculty will be notified when their ISQ results are available. Results can be viewed in Faculty Self Service -> ISQ Results.
