Cayuse Modules

  • Cayuse SP – Cayuse Sponsored Programs (SP) is used by faculty and staff for proposal submissions, routing, and approvals. Principal investigators can also create proposals and award reports.
  • Cayuse S2S – Cayuse System-to-System (S2S) is used to submit federal proposals to a federal granting agency. Cayuse S2S replaces submitting proposals through Grants.gov, Research.gov, ERA Commons, etc. Cayuse S2S provides a single portal for submitting proposals to federal agencies.
  • Cayuse FM – Cayuse Fund Manager (FM) allows principal investigators to create expenditure projections and track available balances on projects and Individual Professional Development (IPD) accounts. Cayuse FM integrates with Ellucian Banner but does not replace the post-award activities in Ellucian Banner.
  • Cayuse HE – Cayuse Human Ethics (HE) increases efficiency with 100% electronic preparation, submission, and routing of human research study protocols. There is also a PI dashboard to track protocol submissions, statuses, create reports, and much more.
  • Cayuse AO- Animal Oversight (AO) streamlines business processes with powerful automated workflows and an intuitive user interface for animal protocol submissions.
  • Cayuse HS – Cayuse Hazard Safety (HS) speeds review time and increases overall productivity for hazard material protocol submissions.
  • Cayuse OI - Cayuse Outside Interests (OI) manages financial conflict of interests on research studies through workflows and on-line processes.

Access to Cayuse

All graduate (Master’s and Doctoral) students who plan to conduct research as a Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, Primary Contact, or as a member of the study team may request access to Cayuse by completing the  form. The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Research will create your account. Access to the Cayuse Human Ethics system will be available within two business days. An email confirmation will be sent to you from irb@unf.edu when access is granted.
