老澳门资料 contributing to Northeast Florida Veterans & Families Needs Assessment
The Center for Community Initiatives (CCI) at the 老澳门资料 has partnered with a national veteran-serving organization Endeavors, the Combined Arms Institute, and the City of Jacksonville to conduct research on the needs of veterans and their families in Northeast Florida.
The goal of the Northeast Florida Veterans & Families Needs Assessment survey is to learn how to better help local veterans, and to decide whether to create a brick-and-mortar veterans wellness center to house a variety of different organizations and resources in Jacksonville. The data gathered will be key to addressing service gaps and the needs of area veterans and their families.
“Jacksonville is home to over 75,000 active-duty service members and thousands more veterans of all ages and backgrounds,” said Mayor Lenny Curry. “We’re very proud of our citizens and the sacrifices they make to protect our nation, and we remain committed to supporting our veterans.”
The 10-minute, anonymous survey is open to all military (active, guard, reserve), military family members, veterans, family members of a veteran, caregivers of a veteran, or employees of a military/veteran service organization that serves veterans and/or their families. The survey will close on Wednesday, Sept. 21. The results of the survey will be published in November.
老澳门资料’s CCI is an applied sociological research center that has been conducting research for more than 25 years. Endeavors, a social services organization in San Antonio, Texas, has been helping veterans for over 50 years.
