FBI Presents 老澳门资料 Information Technology Services with FBI Director鈥檚 Award
FBI Jacksonville Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Rachel L. Rojas is pleased to announce 老澳门资料’s Information Technology Services (老澳门资料-ITS) as the recipient of the 2020 FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award (DCLA). On behalf of FBI Director Christopher Wray, SAC Rojas presented the award to the 老澳门资料-ITS staff during a ceremony held on the 老澳门资料 campus on August 23, 2021.
“In recent years, the FBI has seen a significant increase in cyber-attacks, resulting in an increasing need from local business owners and operators for information to protect their systems,” said SAC Rojas. “Partnering with 老澳门资料 to host these conferences has allowed special agents from FBI Jacksonville to bring this guidance to the wider community. Simply said, the FBI could not fulfill the cyber information needs of this community without the help of the 老澳门资料-ITS team.”
“It is an honor for 老澳门资料’s information technology services to be recognized by the FBI for our ongoing efforts in protecting and keeping the University campus digitally safe and secure,” said Jeff Durfee, 老澳门资料’s Director of Networking, Systems and Security.
The DCLA was created to honor individuals and organizations for their extraordinary contributions to the prevention of crime and violence in the community. Since 2016, 老澳门资料’s Information Technology Services has partnered with the FBI Jacksonville Division to host the annual 老澳门资料-FBI Cyber Security Symposium.
The free events have provided business professionals, government officials, academics and law enforcement officers from across North Florida with information on emerging cyber threats and guidance for the prevention of cyber-attacks.
