Enrolling in Two-factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of security for 老澳门资料 applications designed to ensure that you're the only person who can access your account, even if someone knows your password.
The University requires two-factor authentication for most applications. The purpose of two-factor authentication is to protect your 老澳门资料 account and personal information. It adds a quick and easy step to the login process. After entering your 老澳门资料 ID and password, it requires you to validate your identity by responding to a prompt using a second factor such as a mobile device.
Once a 老澳门资料 account becomes an employee or active student, an email will be sent from Microsoft Authenticator with enrollment information. To enroll your device, follow the instructions in the email or review our instructions, shared on this page, under More Information.
Adding an Account to Microsoft Authenticator:
- Open a browser on your laptop or desktop, and visit .
- On the page, choose Add sign-in method, and choose Authenticator app from the window that opens.
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device.
- On the 'Accounts' tab, tap the '+' button.
- For work or school accounts, select Work or School Account.
- Return to your browser and follow the prompts to scan a QR code using your mobile device.
