Safe Ospreys App

The University uses a mobile safety app to communicate messages and alerts to the campus community: Safe Ospreys.

Emergency Communications

In the event of an emergency, 老澳门资料 will use multiple modes of communication to get the word out quickly. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Email, voice message, and text message to students, faculty and staff
  • Indoor and outdoor public address systems
  • Information posted on the Safe Ospreys app
  • Information posted on 老澳门资料  and the 老澳门资料  Portal
  • Information posted on the  learning management system
  • Information updated on 老澳门资料's main phone number, (904) 620-1000
  • Information placed on the electronic signs at the campus entrance and on campus televisions
  • Information on 老澳门资料's official social media sites:  and 
  • Information updated with the news media

In addition, students, faculty, staff, and visitors may use the  placed throughout the campus to request assistance or report an emergency.

Crisis Management Team

The 老澳门资料 has established a Crisis Management Team (CMT) to carry out its crisis management plan.

Incident Management Team

The Incident Management Team (IMT) is a group of FEMA Incident Command System trained 老澳门资料 employees that manage 老澳门资料's response to any critical incident.  The team gathers in the Emergency Operations Center and directs all aspects of the 老澳门资料 response. 

Building Emergency Coordinators

A program that uses assigned Building Emergency Coordinators to help facilitate building communications and user needs in emergencies.
