Description:

Agapathus have strap-like evergreen or deciduous leaves (depending on the variety) emerging from an underground bulb. Summer flowers are borne in rounded clusters on tall stalks, in white and shades of blue. Depending on the variety, these spikes may be eighteen inches to five feet in height.

Light: part shade, full sun with irrigation
Water: drought tolerant once established
Soil: average soil, wide pH tolerance, no special requirements
In the north Florida garden, these plants are very sturdy and long-lived. Plant them in sun or shade, in a well-drained soil.
